Malherbe Stadium of Caen
Multi-terminal deployment connected to a centralized back-office.
Context & Challenges
Caen Stadium required a solution capable of managing the checkout operations across 35 points of sale inside the stadium. The challenge was twofold: ensure fast, seamless service during matches — when thousands of spectators arrive within minutes — while giving the operator a centralized, consolidated view of all activity.
Because the equipment is installed and removed before and after each match or event, the solution needed to be easy to deploy, quick to configure, and adaptable to multiple internal use cases.
Technical Challenges
- Run full checkout operations autonomously, without relying on a permanent network
- Sync sales data in real time to a centralized back-office
- Support distinct business needs (bar, snack, merchandising) through tailored interfaces
- Generate custom reporting for the French Football Federation (FFF)
- Program 35 devices from a single administrative environment
Techfive Solution Deployed
- 35 Counter Max Pro 11" terminals
- Multisite back-office for data consolidation, reporting, and centralized configuration
- Customized interfaces adapted to each type of point of sale (CHR / Retail)
- Autonomous local operation, with automatic synchronization when a network is available
- Consolidated production tickets to streamline kitchen preparation
Results
- Continuous service even without network connectivity
- Real-time consolidated revenue reporting across the entire stadium
- Faster service thanks to the separation of preparation and checkout workflows
- Fleet expanded from 25 to 35 devices due to customer satisfaction
- A solution twice as cost-effective as deploying Wi-Fi coverage or a dedicated server
